+ What is ParentingEQ?

ParentingEQ's mission is to increase children's emotional intelligence (EQ) through engaging activities and games. ParentingEQ offers resources to homeschool families, educators and counselors. Our products are geared for children aged 4-12.

+ Who can benefit from ParentingEQ?

ParentingEQ can benefit all families with children ages 4-12. Our carefully designed activities and games are intended to help families build skills that can have a positive impact on relationships, stress management, and overall emotional health.

+ What is emotional intelligence?

Emotional intelligence or emotional quotient (EQ) is defined as an individual's ability to identify, evaluate, control and express emotions. Emotional intelligence does not mean letting your feelings have free reign. Instead it means managing feelings so that they are expressed appropriately and effectively, enabling people to work together toward their common goals.

+ Why is emotional intelligence an important skill to teach children?

People with high EQ usually make great leaders and team players because of their ability to understand, empathize and connect with the people around them. Decades of research shows that children who develop these skills early make healthier decisions, and have a greater chance of leading successful lives.

+ What products does ParentingEQ offer?

ParentingEQ offers a scripted, open-and-go Life Skills Curriculum designed for charter and homeschool families. The curriculum is available in two age groups: Mini (ages 4–7) and Junior (ages 8–12). ParentingEQ offers Counselor and Educator Bundles featuring games and activities that build key emotional intelligence skills such as self-regulation, self-awareness, problem-solving, and friendship/social skills. These bundles include several small group curriculums. Our Kindergarten Readiness Kit helps families prepare young children for a successful start to school. Please note, we are currently phasing out our original 6-box series, which will only be available while supplies last.

+ How much do the ParentingEQ Products Cost?

ParentingEQ’s Life Skills Curriculum is $425 and includes both a physical and digital manual. The Counselor/Educator Bundles are available for $199 each (Mini or Junior) and include two digital small group curriculums along with a full set of hands-on games and activities. The Superbundle, which includes both the Mini and Junior Bundles plus all four small group curriculums, is available for $375. Our Kindergarten Readiness Kit is priced at $39.99.

+ What if I have multiple children in my home?

Both the Mini and the Junior lines are intended to be used as a family and many of the items included can be shared. The Junior Life Skills Curriculum has an optional Extra Student Pack available for $30, which includes an additional workbook, Moods Journal, Kindness Pad, and Unworry book. If you have children that fall into both age groups, and purchasing both lines is not an option, we suggest choosing the line that best meets the needs of your family.

+ Can I order ParentingEQ as a gift?

Yes! ParentingEQ makes a great gift for anyone with children ages 4-12.

+ Are there boxes designed for children under 4 or over 12?

At this time, we develop our products for families with children between the ages of 4 and 12. Many of our Junior line (ages 8-12) can be used with older children depending on their developmental level. We hope to expand our product offerings in the future and will be sure to let our mailing list know!

+ Is ParentingEQ available internationally?

ParentingEQ is only available in the United States.
